This past weekend I’ve been out to see Ghostbusters. I was a little disappointed to learn that they have cast women to star in the movie. At first I felt that they just wanted to be politically correct or something. I decided however that I would like to go see it seeing as most of the other movies I’ve seen this year has been such a disappointment to me.
All in all I found it quite entertaining. It kept true to the original movie. They kept all the key characteristics of the original characters just with new faces. The storyline followed the same lines as the original so if you’re in the mood for some nostalgia then there you go.
I absolutely loved the fact that they didn’t overdo it with the CGI and only focused the computer animation on the ghosts. The ghosts really looked awesome. I also enjoyed the cameo appearances from the original cast and the last stand in the movie was also worth the wait. The final fight scene was also done great with a lot of ghost busting with awesome equipment…
I remember when Independence Day first came out in the 1996 my mom said ‘its like one of those delicious bread rolls you see at the bakery but as soon as you cut it open, its empty inside‘ and this is the way that I’ve been feeling about a lot of the recent movies. They all start of with this massive expectation and then it ends anti-climatically. I miss the long action scenes from the 80’s and 90’s where you almost think the hero’s not going to make it and then he does. In most of the newer movies, the last stand ends so fast, it was almost not worth the wait.
Here are some of the ghosts from the 2016 Ghostbusters movie.
